Meili was 7 years-old when she was cast as a magical peacock in the play THE MASQUE OF BEAUTY AND THE BEAST in her hometown of Bremerton, WA.  The role consisted of strutting across the stage (generously decorated in elaborate feather arrangements) a total of three times in the hour and a half production.  It was enough to fall in love with theatre and acting as a whole.  Many plays followed at school and in community theatre (albeit with slightly less feathers and slightly more dialogue), which is where she made dear friends and loved learning from local theatre veterans.  Meili made frequent trips to Seattle to be in acting classes on weekends and breaks from school.  She soon began doing theatre closer to the city, and after graduating from high school she decided that it was time to move south to Los Angeles.

Once in LA, Meili studied acting fervently with coaches Bobbie Chance and Steven Anderson.  She began collaborating with friends on short films such as THE HOT DATE and THE WAITING ROOM.  In each project Meili was involved in every stage of production, from writing to even overseeing the final edit.

Meili’s experience behind the camera on short films would soon aid her as she went into production on her first feature film THE GETDOWN, for which she garnered an associate producer credit as well as leading lady.  The comedy features cameos by Owen Wilson and Jon Voight.

After her film debut, Meili revisited her roots by becoming involved in the Hollywood theatre community, performing in plays such as ONE NIGHT STANDS at the Avery Schreiber Theatre.  She continues a budding career in film and television, and was recently seen on the hit television show CALIFORNICATION with David Duchoveny.
